Augustus's Story...
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

'Auggie' is a wonderfully friendly young boy who was found as a stray after being hit by a car on a rural road. The driver didn't stop, but thank goodness the gal in the car behind it did! He is so loving and friendly, doesn't drool much at all, takes treats right out of your hand and loves belly rubs and lots of pets! He will be available for adoption after he is neutered and has completed his heartworm treatments. Please check back later for more details as his personality begins to unfold in his fosters care.

Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Augustus, a Grapevine Basset Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound for sale in Grapevine, or seeking a Basset Hound dog from a breeder in Grapevine.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grapevine already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grapevine breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound breeders who help with Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grapevine paves the way for another one to be saved.
