Maggie's Story...
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

What a loving and affectionate girl!  Miss Maggie Mae is everything you ever hoped for in a basset, but slightly smaller!  Her petite little body is just the right size to pick up and take with you everywhere you go!  And she would like to go with you, too.  If you don't like slobbery kisses, then this girl is not for you!  She loves to cuddle and will give you kisses all over your face. Maggie is completely housetrained with a doggy door, and is eager to learn.  She would make a great agility dog, or obedience dog, even could easily earn her Good Citizenship to be a Therapy Dog.  Maggie will be wonderful with a family with children of all ages, is very relaxed and easy going, but needs either a stay at home parent, or another doggie companion.  She gets along well with all other dogs, cats, and adults.
Will yours be her forever home?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maggie, a Grapevine Basset Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound for sale in Grapevine, or seeking a Basset Hound dog from a breeder in Grapevine.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grapevine already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grapevine breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound breeders who help with Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grapevine paves the way for another one to be saved.
