Female basset from Heddins Puppy Mill Seizure

This little petite 'mini-basset' is finding her way in a whole new world without bars!
Brownie will do well in a home with other dogs, since she loves to play with them.  She is still learning the doggie door, and seems to understand the concept of doing her business outside.  She is still a little shy, but will warm up eventually to strangers, and is learning quickly about trusting humans.  Brownie is an adorable little girl who needs a caring family that wants to help a very deserving basset.  Please fill out the adoption application today.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Brownie, a Grapevine Basset Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound for sale in Grapevine, or seeking a Basset Hound dog from a breeder in Grapevine.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grapevine already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grapevine breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound breeders who help with Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grapevine paves the way for another one to be saved.
