Howard's Story...
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Howard was found wondering the streets looking for his people.  He sat in a local shelter for a couple of weeks waiting for them to come or someone to adopt him.  He was getting sick so NTBHR stepped in to help him get over his illness.

He is now feeling 100% better!  He has a lot of energy to share with that right family.  Since he is still a young hound he is not recommended for families with children under five. He is a sweet, lovable, playful young guy who is looking for a family to call his very own!  Will you give him a place to call home for the holidays?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Howard, a Grapevine Basset Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound for sale in Grapevine, or seeking a Basset Hound dog from a breeder in Grapevine.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grapevine already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grapevine breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound breeders who help with Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grapevine paves the way for another one to be saved.
