Darla's Info...

I am already spayed, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Darla's Story...
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Darla was released to an East Texas animal shelter when her owner became ill and was no longer able to care for her.  She has spent her entire life living outside up until now!  Darla is adjusting well to being an inside hound.  She has been spayed and brought current on her vaccinations.

Darla is a young playful little girl who would benefit greatly with another four legged playmate!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Darla, a Grapevine Basset Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound for sale in Grapevine, or seeking a Basset Hound dog from a breeder in Grapevine.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grapevine already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grapevine breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound breeders who help with Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grapevine paves the way for another one to be saved.
