Bo's Story...
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Bo is a sweet family basset hound that came to NTBHR from an area shelter.  He is neutered, up to date with his vaccinations and gets along with other dogs and children.

Bo loves attention. He will follow you around just to get a hug. He is good with other dogs and has found his inner puppy when playing with Polly, his foster sister. He is crate trained, does well with a doggie door and is 80% housetrained. The perfect home would be one with a fenced yard to play in, another pooch to play with and all the love an attention he can get. He walks well on a lead, and rides good in the car, he likes to ride up front to see everything but is content being in the back on his pillow. He is a real love and would be a great addition to any family!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bo, a Grapevine Basset Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound for sale in Grapevine, or seeking a Basset Hound dog from a breeder in Grapevine.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grapevine already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grapevine breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound breeders who help with Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grapevine paves the way for another one to be saved.
