Charlotte's Story...
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Charlotte and her puppy Wilbur were found together as strays.  Charlotte is a beautiful red and white young mom who will need to finish heartworm treatment before going to her furever home.  Charlotte is sweet and friendly and looking forward to pushing her boy out of the nest so she can get some rest. Calm is Charlotte's middle name, and she is very good with adults and kids of all sizes. She learned her new name within a few days and is very obedient. This girl loves to snuggle up next to you on the couch for a snooze. She loves going for slow walks and is calm and obedient enough that the little ones can even hold her leash. She's house trained and is very trustworthy left alone in the house. She's been a stellar mama to Wilbur, and is sure to be a spectacular companion for her new family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Charlotte, a Grapevine Basset Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound for sale in Grapevine, or seeking a Basset Hound dog from a breeder in Grapevine.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grapevine already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grapevine breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound breeders who help with Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grapevine paves the way for another one to be saved.
