* ADOPTED *
Patrick is an adorable young Beagle boy with a fun-loving personality and playful nature. He is approximately 1.5 years old and weighs about 30 pounds. Patrick is current on vaccinations, heartworm neg., neutered and microchipped. He is crate trained and housetrained as well.
Although Patrick is friendly and affectionate with people he knows he is initially shy with unfamiliar people, especially men. He seems curious about children but not too sure what to make of them just yet. He is good with other dogs his size and energy level and is all about having fun! He enjoys playing with his Beagle friends in the fenced backyard of his foster home. So far he has not shown more than a moderate interest in the house cats, but like most Beagles will instinctively chase almost anything that runs.
Patrick enjoys going for walks and is usually well-behaved on a leash. However, he is very shy when it comes to going potty while on a leash. We are currently working to change his mind and making progress. At this time Patrick would still prefer a home with a securely fenced yard where he could "take care of business" in privacy.
As with most young dogs, Patrick would benefit from some basic obedience training. He loves to work for treats and is eager to please.
Important: Patrick is not at a shelter where you can go to meet him. All Safe Hounds Beagles are cared for in a loving foster home. Prospective adopters MUST submit an adoption application and be pre-approved before meeting a dog. Submitting an application does not guarantee you will be approved. We do not accept applications for specific dogs. Once an application is approved, we’ll begin a matching process—the right dog for the right home. Please
