My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello! My name is Blu and I am a Nanday Conure. My foster Mom says that I am one of the coolest conures she has ever met – well, I do have to admit that she is right! I came from my previous home never leaving my cage for almost three years because there were kitties there that my Mom thought may want to eat me, so she sent me to Florida Parrot Rescue to find a home where I can spread my wings! I LOVE being out of the cage and my foster Mom says I am VERY sweet. I am a typical conure, I can be loud when I want your attention or if you do something I do not like, and sometimes I do display some cage aggression. However, my foster Mom is working with me on that and she says I am already getting much better. I like to sit on your shoulder and give you kisses and I love to groom you. I love getting kisses in return (on the top of the beak, of course, so you don’t give me any germs or bad bacteria!). I also love to whistle and can make all kinds of sounds. My foster Mom is in the process of converting me to a healthier diet without seeds, but with healthy pellets, fresh vegetables, some fruits, and healthy nuts. She says that I am doing very well with the conversion. My favorites so far are blueberries, carrots, and any greens. The vet says I am very healthy and one of the nicest birds he has ever met, too! So please come meet me soon, I would love to have a home of my own with a loving family who will give me tons of attention and love! I can’t wait to met you!
