My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Lulu and I am a female Quaker parrot. I think I am about 10 years old because my owner found me in her tree about 8 years ago and my vet said I looked to be a couple of years old at that time. I am very beautiful and fully feathered. My new foster Mom said I am a good girl and am not very cage aggressive the way most Quaker parrots can be. Although I won't bite you, I do have a habit of holding onto my cage with my beak if you try to take me off it. I think it's funny. In fact, you can handle me just about any way you want to without getting bit. I very much enjoy head scratches and belly rubs. I have a little problem with one foot which is not very noticeable, so I don't step up very well. . The FPR veterinarian said I either have a neurological issue or an old injury, but either way it is nothing that can be fixed, but that is OK, I am used to it and I get around my cage very well. I will sit with you and cuddle or stay on top of my cage, but I definitely like being out of my cage and in the middle of the action. My foster Mom is introducing me to chop and fruits and veggies. I already like my pellets, but I am not really crazy about the "good diet" yet. I used to love traveling in the motor home with my previous family and my fur brother, but my Mom became ill and the doctor said it would be better for her health if she found a new home for me. Would you like to meet me and see for yourself how cuddly I can be?
