Kaylee is a beautiful Rhodesian Ridgeback girl that doesn’t have the ridge as most do. All the same, this girl is a beauty and is about 3 years old, 80 pounds and looking for a Ridgeback savvy adoptive family. Kaylee had a rough start in life and we are turning around this story to have a happy ending. Given to a very young 19 year old boy, she suffered great neglect and starvation. She was finally relinquished to a lady who lived nearby and for the past year and a half she has brought Kaylee back to health and care but she is not able to give Kaylee the inside privileges and attention that she so desperately deserves. This wonderful rescue lady has saved Kaylee from a horrible existence that she formerly had where she was starved and chained up, now she is dealing with some food anxiety when she eats and she barks when she is eating and doesn’t want other dogs around her food bowl…totally understandable. She is a girl that is fine with the other dogs in her foster home and also OK with cats. Kaylee's attributes are many; she is polite, friendly, loving and playful. She is housetrained, spayed, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. She will require a fenced yard, plenty of exercise and plenty of patience and understanding with some of her quirks that originate from her early beginnings of starvation and neglect. Kaylee is a good watch dog and has also mastered the dog door but she loves being inside. She settles down quickly and doesn't demand excessive attention.
