Suzie's Story...
** ADOPTION PENDING ** Suzie is a Colorado Dachshund sweetheart and may be the most perfect dachshund we have had in CCDR Colorado and we have had a lot of pretty perfect dachshunds. She is 6 years old, 14 pounds and simply adorable. Suzie loves everyone she meets adults, kids and dogs. She has not been cat tested, but, most likely she would be wonderful with a cat too. She loves her naps, giving kisses, snuggling and of course she loves the warmth of the sun. Suzie is always up for a car ride or a walk. She is on special food to prevent bladder stones. When Suzie came into rescue her bladder was so full of stones there was literally no room for urine. Suzie had a successful surgery and has been crystal and stone free since her surgery. Suzie's ideal home will be in COLORADO. To meet this incredibly sweet little dachshund an adoption application must be submitted. The application can be found online at Suzie's adoption fee is $225.00 her total devotion is priceless. For more information email:

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Suzie, a Louisville Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Louisville, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Louisville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Louisville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Louisville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Louisville paves the way for another one to be saved.
