My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My foster mom says I have an innocent face, full of wonder and appreciation for life. Such a little character. . . let me charm you instantly. My fur is soft and my dilute calico markings add to my beauty. Born early spring, April 7, 2014.

I am special (along with my sister, Maxine, and my brother, Precious). . . . We are known as WOBBLERS. Our motor skills are not the same as most cats. We wobble sometimes when we walk and may even stumble or fall when we run. We have a disorder called Cerebellar Hypoplasia. I know it’s big words so let’s shorten it to CH and I know it sounds scary, but it’s not . . .what happened to my siblings and I happened when we were in Mom’s belly. Honestly I don’t know why someone would look at me as ‘damaged’ or why most other wobblers don’t get the chance to have their very own forever home. We are NOT in pain, CH does NOT get better or worse, our lifespan is the same as any other ‘normal cat’ (whatever your definition is of normal cat LOL). The oddity to my walk pattern is mild, but when I get stressed or excited you will notice it more. My rear legs are spread wider while I use my head and my tail for balance. It is best that I stay close to the floor, so please don’t encourage me to climb high cat towers or to jump on your kitchen table to share dinner! I don’t like to drink water directly from a bowl, it would be great if you wouldn’t mind feeding me canned food for the additional moisture. I require no special medical care or medication, but it will be important that your vet understand CH.

I may not be perfect, but neither are many of my human friends. Some people walk with a limp or maybe their arms don’t work just right, but it’s ok I love them anyways. I gladly accept a good ear scratch with a chin rub thrown in for good measure and if you let me I love to rub against your ankles anticipating your petting.

I am litter box and scratch post trained, spayed, up to date on all those yucky vaccinations, FELV/FIV negative and micro-chipped. All of this great stuff and my adoption fee is only $100. I dream about sharing a forever home with my very own family . . . if that could be you please visit providingforpaws.org and complete an adoption application.
