My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What a sad story for these two girls, Ginger and Lexie. The two dogs had been up for adoption at our rescue seven years ago and were adopted by a local family. The wife loved them, doted over them, and they were just her babies. Two months ago, she died and left the two girls in the care of her husband, who is unable to care for them and no one in the family is interested in taking the two girls. So Ginger and Lexie were surrendered back to our shelter and are looking for a very special, caring family who is willing to take them both. The girls are wonderful in every way. They are great with children as the couple had grandchildren around them. The girls are friendly with other dogs and cats. They are house broken, very laid back although still active enough to want to play, go for walks, and enjoy the company of others. They are 7 years old and have been well cared for by their mom. They are spayed, heart worm negative and on preventative, and up to date on vaccines. Ginger is approx 25 lbs and could use a few pounds less. She is a sweetheart and a love bug and loves to cuddle. Rarely barks and is just looking at you with those expressive little eyes looking for attention, affection, and a new home. Please consider these two girls as part of your new family.
