found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already neutered, purebred, a special needs pet, and up to date with shots.
ELVIS IS A SPECIAL NEEDS DOG - PLEASE READ HIS ENTIRE BIO BEFORE INQUIRING
Meet Elvis! Elvis is an adorable 5 year old male purebred yorkie who is looking for a loving home after his elderly owner could not care for him anymore. Elvis is a very happy and active dog who just wants a home where he can be loved and give lots of love in return. Elvis has a portosystemic shunt (PSS), also known as a liver shunt, which is a bypass of the liver by the body's circulatory system and is a hereditary condition that affects many small dogs. The current maintenance for this condition is a low protein diet and possibly an inexpensive medication in the future. A side effect of the PSS is frequent urination so an adopter would have to be willing to use pee-pee pads for Elvis, which he is trained to use. Elvis is a very happy and active dog who can live a long happy life on a low protein diet. If you are interested in making Elvis a part of your home and can tend to his special needs, please contact email@example.com for more information. ONLY SERIOUS INQUIRIES PLEASE
Adoption fees are a tax deductible donation and will be applied toward the vet bill to help us defer expenses. Animals in our care are totally vetted, made healthy, brought current on shots, micro-chipped and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. We have a legal and binding adoption contract and we perform a home inspection. Always be sure to leave a daytime AND an evening call back number. Also, please note that we all work full time jobs and may not be able to return your calls until the evening. Please be courteous of the hours you call as we all operate out of our homes. All adoptive parents must be residents of Broward County. Please note that an adoption application is the first step of the adoption process and does not guarantee adoption. We reserve the right to deny any application or adoption that we do not feel is the proper fit for the dog. When there are multiple applications for a pet, we choose the home best suited for that particular pet. All applications are reviewed and if approved, a meeting between the pet and the applicant is arranged. A home visit is then scheduled to be performed before adoption.
