Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Evelyn is a sweet and very smart puppy. She loves her foster family and the resident dogs. Evelyn wants to be where the action is, but is also perfectly content in her foster mom's arms for some snuggle time when close to bedtime. Evelyn adores playing fetch and is working on basic commands. She already knows "sit" and "off". House training is going well. Evelyn knows the word "outside" and runs to the back door. She is working on trying to tell her humans when she needs to go outside, but on a schedule is doing excellent. Evalyn is OK with a harness for walks, but prefers warmer weather. This little girl will bring so much joy to any family! Evelyn is estimated to be about 4.5 months old and weighs about 15 pounds. Since we don't know at all what doggy genes are in the dogs make up (we don't know who mom and dad are!), we are just guessing on breed and size when grown.
All dogs are spayed or neutered and microchipped prior to adoption. They have all had a vet exam, are up to date on vaccinations, have been given a dewormer, are treated for fleas, have a heartworm test if over 6 months old and are up to date on a heartworm preventative.
Please note that because we require a home visit at the time of adoption we can only place animals in homes within a 60 mile radius of Minneapolis.If you are interested in meeting this dog please fill out the pre-adoption application on our website at www.safehandsrescue.org under Adopt and we will get back to you to arrange a meeting in the foster home.
We also have an Adoptable Dog Meet & Greet on Saturday January 3, 2015, at Adopt-a-Pet Shop (1115 Vicksburg Ln N, Plymouth 55447) from 3:30 - 5:30 pm. Occasionally dogs cannot make it to the Meet & Greet, therefore feel free to verify if your dog of interest is able to attend. Please bring a copy of your pre-adoption application.
