Scooby's Story...
Scooby is about one year old. He weighs only 23 pounds. Scooby is very sweet and submissive. He does have a lot of energy, but not so much that he is annoying. Scooby is housetrained, neutered, upd on vaccines, heartworm negative and wormed. Scooby is good with both cats and dogs although he will bark at the cats if not corrected, but he is learning fast. Very smart. He's a wonderful boy who is willing to try to give you all of his trust and love if only you will give some in return.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Scooby, a North Wilkesboro Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog/Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog/Border Collie for sale in North Wilkesboro, or seeking a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog/Border Collie dog from a breeder in North Wilkesboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in North Wilkesboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a North Wilkesboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog/Border Collie breeders who help with Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in North Wilkesboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
