Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Arnold is a totally adorable 9 month old Boxer/ Pit mix boy looking for a new home.
He is absolutely the sweetest boy but he does still need some basic manners and training.
He is as handsome and goofy as could be.
This little Arnold dog loves to play with toys, cuddle and lounge around with his people.
Because he is young and he is a high energy fellow, we do suggest he goes to a home with a fenced in yard or that he goes to a home committed to walking him at least twice daily.
Arnold is doing well with pottying outside, however, he has not mastered it yet, so please expect a little bit of potty training work if you're considering him.
Arnold likes to grab the leash in his mouth and pull it almost as if it you're trying to have a game of tug.
He was never trained as a puppy that this behavior is not acceptable, so we have been working hard to correct the issue, but he needs someone who can be very firm and not let him get away with doing it.
We have found that a spray bottle with water in it works EXCELLLENT when walking him.
Because he is so rowdy sometimes, we do suggest that he goes to a home with children 10+ years old.
Arnold gets along well with most of the other dogs he has met here at the pound, but we do suggest that he meets any other dogs that he will be living with to help ensure he will fit in well in his new home.
Arnold appears to be in good health, is neutered, up to date on routine vaccinations, he has been dewormed and he will get his current Ohio dog license when he gets adopted.

PLEASE CONSIDER THIS DOG, AS WELL AS ALL THE OTHER DOGS AT OUR SHELTER AS URGENT. OUR KENNEL SPACE HERE AT THE POUND IS VERY LIMITED. THIS DOG COULD BE EUTHANIZED WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE ANY TIME AFTER DECEMBER 2, 2014.
HERE AT THE COLUMBIANA COUNTY DOG POUND, WE TRY VERY HARD TO PLACE ALL OF OUR ADOPTABLE DOGS IN TO LOVING HOMES OR SEND THEM TO GREAT, APPROVED RESCUE GROUPS, HOWEVER, WE CAN ONLY KEEP OUR DOGS HERE AT THE POUND AS LONG AS SPACE ALLOWS.
MY ADOPTION FEE IS $110 CASH, WHICH COVERS MY NEUTER SURGERY (WHICH MUST BE DONE PRIOR TO ME LEAVING THE SHELTER), MY PARVO/DISTEMPER VACCINE, RABIES VACCINE, DEWORMING AND MY CURRENT OHIO DOG LICENSE WHICH WILL BE HONORED THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF OHIO.
THE POUND IS OPEN MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 8 AM- 4 PM AND SATURDAY FROM 9 AM- 12 PM. WE ARE CLOSED SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS.
