My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweet and shy little Herman is a 23 pound 5-6 month old heart worm negative terrier mix- a peaceful, gentle spirit with a lot of soul. Many weeks spent at the city shelter have made Herman wary of what may next come his way. He is careful to make a commitment, studying a place, person or situation before he casts his lot. But once he is in the game he is full of fun and frolic.

Herman's sleek low shed brindle coat is so shiny as to appear wet, and is as soft as footsteps in fresh snow; his feet and tummy are pure white. Herman's eyes are as deep and doleful as a moment of sadness on a gray afternoon. A slim white strip travels mid-forehead to the tip of his button nose, straight as a highway lane divider, and separates his small face into two perfect halves.

In his foster home, Herman is well mannered and calm, no 'puppy mania', and takes direction well from the adults, other dogs and cats in house. He has learned to plop his hind end down and "SIT" on command and crates agreeably at lights out. Herman has a simple appreciation of the here and now of life itself, happy that his past is but a memory and knowing that his future has yet to be written.

Please contact his foster home at carolineford74@yahoo.com to meet this adorable little pup.
