My name is Mango and if you have always had a love affair with Goldens, well then read on. I am three years old and I am told that I am a classic, good-natured, amiable Golden Boy ... with one exception. I don’t have great hips – yes, I have hip dysplasia. It could very well be the reason I ended up as an unclaimed stray at animal control – I could no longer mask the signs of the hip dysplasia. Animatch is committed to me and won’t let me down, I am going to have surgery on both my hips and look forward to many years of being comfortable and pain free. I am eager to find an adoptive family in the area to adopt me BEFORE I have the surgery. The plan would be that I go home and strengthen the muscles in both my hind legs to get me ready for the surgery. In a few weeks, surgery would be done (covered by Animatch) and I would go home to recuperate. Believe me, I wish I never had to create any kind of fuss. I realize that for some this may be an issue but honestly, I am really a gentle, devoted, goofy boy who loves everybody and is so grateful for all the help I have received from one and all. The only thing that would make life just a little better is a forever family! So if you would like to help me get through the surgery and recovery that awaits me, I would be ever so grateful. Some kids wish for two front teeth for Christmas, I just wish for my very own home. Give me a chance and you won’t be disappointed. Please fill in the Adoption Form if you would like to adopt me.
