Charlie's Story...
Charlie is at the Adopt-A-Pet Shop in Plymouth, MN- stop by and say hello!

DOB: ~7/25/14
Breed/Coloring: DSH/ Gray
Charlie is the total package. He is extremely people focused and will lie on your chest and purr his loud, monster truck purr and make biscuits with his paws. He LOVES to chase toys and will make his own fun chasing a toy mouse around if someone isn’t available to play with him.

His coat is so soft and he has such a cute, round face. He is pretty short for a cat but has large paws. He is brave and it doesn't take him too long to adjust to the presence of new or scary things. He is doing very well with the dogs in his foster home and did well when introduced to other cats. He is litterbox trained and
hasn’t tried to scratch any furniture. We are in the process of introducing him to a scratching post.

Adoption Fees: All of our cats are spayed/neutered, micro-chipped, vaccinated (as age appropriate), tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV, given flea/tick & heartworm preventative, & fecal tested (dewormed if needed) before being adopted out. Charlie's adoption fee is $160 including tax; adoptive homes are given all vet records at the adoption.

If you are interested in adopting, please email SavedByAWhiskerRescue@gmail.com and we will send you an adoption application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Charlie, a Plymouth Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Plymouth, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Plymouth.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Plymouth already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Plymouth breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Plymouth paves the way for another one to be saved.
