My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Courtney 5-6 yr old female Brown Tabby and Tortie Norwegian Forest Cat

Well, Courtney is a green eyed girl. She has the very beautiful green eyes that are the birthright of the Forest Cats. She was in a shelter and not doing well there because she was surrounded by cats and she does not really like them.. She came to me a little uptight; edgy is what I call it. Her life had not been going the way she wanted it to go. I was able to give her some personal space and she was very grateful. I haven’t had her long and she is still settling in but I can see she likes attention from humans and solicits petting all the time.. Sometimes she is a little mistrustful - wanting your petting but wondering if she is safe with you. She is getting over that quickly.

I love fostering Forest Cats as they are so intelligent and magnificent looking. They are big fuzzy armfuls and Courtney is no exception. She has a thick soft coat of reds and browns. These cats were bred to be comfortable in the snow and cold weather and she looks like it wouldn’t bother her in the least. She is a bit of a diva and you can also feel her willfulness. She would be happy to put you into training right away. She loves food and treats and feathers and windowsills and lots of cuddling. Birds get her immediate attention.

I expect she would be all right with dogs but I don’t really know. She is a confident girl and would probably explain the social ranking of the world to them right away.

She eats wet and dry food and is litterbox perfect.

Her foster mom is Harriet in Santa Cruz.
