IDGSR WELCOMES SAMANTHA INTO THE SAFETY OF THE RESCUE!!!!

Samantha was dumped by her owner into a high intake shelter because they said they couldn't afford food for her, so the shelter offered food to the person in hopes they would keep their dog, well that really wasn't the reason and they said they decided they didn't want her anymore, yet told them what a great dog she was, their little girl would play dress up with her and decided that Samantha was no longer going to be a member of their family. WHY????? We just don't get this.

Samantha appears to be crate trained as she goes in willingly and seems comfortable in the crate, She is Excellent in the home, she has Excellent manners, and gets along well with ALL large dogs, however when we small dog tested her, she became anxious and nervous, so we think a home without small dogs and cats would be suited best for her. At the shelter she was totally freaked out and was not showing well, now that she's out and in a foster home, she has shown what a awesome girl she is. She is loving, engaging, makes eye contact, is sweet and wants to be by your side constantly. As any shepherd does, she will follow you wherever you go.

Each dog's adoption donation varies depending on the age of the dog.
$300 for any dog 1 year and younger (BABY)
$250 for any dog 1-6 years (ADULT)
$150 for dogs over 7 (SENIOR)
All our adoptable dogs are up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing & monthly preventative and have been spayed or neutered.
Everyone must submit an application before an appointment is made to meet the dogs. Dogs are introduced to prospective adopters BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.
All dogs are fostered in TN unless stated otherwise.
