My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Our G litter of tabby and white kittens, born 9/27/14, has three funny, frisky boys, all of which have gorgeous markings.

They will be neutered and ready to go home by mid-December. These boys spent their first 7 weeks living outside with their mama, so could do well as indoor-only or indoor-outdoor kitties. Since they were older when they came to the shelter, they are a little bit more cautious than their neighbors, the F litter of girl kitties. (Yes, you can mix-and-match F and G kittens - they will do fine together). These boys should adapt fine to homes with dogs, other cats, and polite, non-shrieking children - they may hide from louder family members.

Grouse has the lightest striping on his coat, almost more like "ticking" than stripes, and lots of white on his chest and legs.

We'd love to see all kittens go to homes that have another young, playful kitten, or to send 2 of them out as a pair (which gives you a great pair discount rate), but we do not require pair adoptions. If you prefer to adopt just one, and you don't have a similarly aged kitten at home already, please read our information on Single Kitten Syndrome:

http://forgetmenotshelter.org/blog/single-kitten-syndrome

Then, when you apply for a single kitten, please let us know in the "Comments" field how you plan to deal with the "kitten crazies."

All kittens arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and with all age-appropriate vaccinations; most will need one or two booster vaccinations after arrival, and rabies vaccination between 4-6 months of age. Adoption fee for Grouse is suggested minimum $63 (more gratefully accepted). Discount for pair adoptions: $106 total for two! All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts. Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to both the Seattle area and Spokane, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your donation to help us cover our volunteer driver's expenses, that would be great!
