I am already neutered, housetrained, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, not good with kids, not good with dogs, and not good with cats.
Hi there, my name is Richie and I'm a 2 year old American Staffordshire Terrier mix. I was found as a stray in February and was adopted for a short time, but was returned because I wasn't comfortable with children in the home. I am looking for a home with an active adult like myself, in a home with no other pets. I am a handsome, friendly guy and I love to smile! I smile at the sun in the morning because maybe today is the day I find my forever home! I wiggle my butt and smile at my staff and volunteer friends here at DCHS because I love them so much for giving me all the love and attention they can. I even find myself smiling at the end of a long day, because even though I don’t have a home yet, I am safe and sound in a soft bed here at the shelter and I just know my forever family is out there somewhere!
Please check with your homeowners insurance before adopting a ‘bully breed’ such as an American Staffordshire Terrier. Some silly insurance companies buy into the media hype about us dogs being bad. Apparently they have never experienced a sloppy happy pit bull kiss!
