Sassa's Story...
This gorgeous young lady is Sassa, a 4 1/2 year old girl that would just love a great home of her own. Sassa came to us in May of 2014 when she was turned in by her owners because they "have too many cats". Sassa is looking forward to starting life over with a family that will love and care for her, and treat her as a beloved family member. Sassa is truly just the perfect feline friend for any lucky family. She has an excellent disposition and gets along beautifully with other cats and people of all ages. She is super friendly, outgoing, and loving. She makes friends so easily and wants nothing more than to cozy up to you and get a little attention, and curl up in your lap for a snooze. Sassa is in our free roaming area where she spends her days socializing with the other lovely lady kitties there and greeting visitors as they come in. She would fit in perfectly into any loving home where she will be cherished always, and never given up on again. File#23495 5/8/14

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sassa, a Forked River Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Forked River, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Forked River.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Forked River already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Forked River breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Forked River paves the way for another one to be saved.
