My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lido is a young dog just developing into his own personality. He came timid & afraid to enter a house. Now he knows his name, is house-trained, crate- trained, leash- obedient & ready to join in anything you want to do. His aim is to please.

Lido was found starving and had a piece of rope on his collar. No tags or microchip was found at the time. Even though he's not a Boston terrier, we could not turn him away. We think he's a boxer mix and he is about 1 year old. He has the most gorgeous striped brindle coat.

He sleeps in the bedroom near the bed & the minute he sees your feet hit the floor; he’s there to talk to you. He mumbles in dog talk & licks your foot or ankle. Lido’s so happy to start a new day. He knows he will be fed & learn new things with his people. He is currently working on ‘sit’.

Lido is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heart worm negative & (now) microchiped. He loves playing with his Boston siblings. He is still gaining weight & will probably top off at 35-38 lbs. Chase, tug-of-war, Kong chewing & destroying stuffed animals are his favorite pastimes. Come dark, he’s ready to nap next to you on the couch while you watch TV. He’s really a people dog & has never met a stranger. I think he would be good with children. He’s interested in cats but I don’t think he would attack. Lido just wants his own family to mature & grow old with.

To find out more about Lido, call his foster mom, Gloria, at 706-541-2052. To adopt Lido, visit bostonrescueofsc.org and fill out the adoption application. Lido's adoption fee is $175.
