Lance has an approximate late 2008 birth year and weighs in around ten pounds.  He is wiggly, cute, loving and affetionate and laid back.  Lance is a smart guy and learns fast.  He mastered the doggy door quickly!!  He enjoys his toys and is all about the occasional belly rub!  He very much enjoys human contact therefore it was quite tragic when his owner was forced into assisted living, changing both their lives forever!

Lance would do OK with a single mid sized kid but is not a kid dog by definition!  He does well with other dogs but NO CATS or other FURRY FRIENDS!!!!!  Lance really treasures his energy burning outside free play time and will need a good fenced yard!

About Ozark Haven Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

We are small group of individuals in Southern Missouri dedicated to the rehabilitation of homeless animals. We help all creatures, promote kindness to animals, respect for the earth and hope to launch a campaign in the next rescue year to combat the pet overpopulation problem in Southern Missouri.
The attitude towards animals here is not a good one; they are viewed and treated, mostly, as chattel. When they are no longer cute, or useful, they are dumped, shot, or just let go. We serve poor, rural communities, whose people do not have the money to pay for their own medical care, let alone veterinary expenses for their pets. Spaying and neutering is not the norm here at all, so we have a huge population of unwanted dogs and cats.

Our Adoption Process...

We do have an adoption process requiring an application. We do require our adoptive homes have strong and verifiable spay/neuter histories that we are able to confirm via our Application Processing team. We will not tolerate or entertain unaltered pets. We are available to answer any questions at all by way of email at or
