Anita's Story...
All dressed up in red and ready for the holidays! Meet the lovely and luscious, Anita! This lovely, sleek jacketed lady is kissy and loving and eager to bring her super sized loving into YOUR home! A fun, interactive lady with other dogs…she'll engage in light wrestling with them…her real eye however is finding that perfect face to clean and or lap to snuggle up in. A larger, more solid lady, she was strong heading out for our walk but quickly settled into a nice cadence and enjoyed exploring, going and doing. Never meeting a stranger, Anita starts with the letter and she earned a solid A in her pet skills test today. Heartworm positive; 51 lbs; 3-4 yrs old

Act quickly to adopt Anita. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Anita, a Darlington Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Darlington, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Darlington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Darlington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Darlington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Darlington paves the way for another one to be saved.
