Dixie's Info...

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Dixie's Story...
I am a previous MMAR alumni, adopted as a kitten, recently returned due to an unforeseen family move where I was unable to accompany them. I miss them, but some time has passed now and I'm okay with it. I am looking for my next family to live a long and happy life with. I used to live with dogs, and now in my foster home, I am with other kitties. I am easy going and loving. I am acclimated to small children too! I would not harm a fly, but I do still have kitten in me, and I like to play. I could live in just about any home with any family. I am not shy, I do not hide once I am comfortable with my surroundings. I am a lap kitty whom loves to be pet. I allow children to pick me up too, super bonus. Will you keep me furrever?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dixie, a McKinney Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in McKinney, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in McKinney.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in McKinney already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a McKinney breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in McKinney paves the way for another one to be saved.
