Olive's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Olive's Story...
I was abandoned not once, but twice. Not sure why...I am sweet to people and love to play with other dogs. The last time I was abandoned, a nice group of ladies made arrangements for me to be spayed and vetted. Unfortunately, I was found to have heart worms. I will complete my treatments in mid December and then I will be ready to find my forever home. I can be a little shy when I first meet you but it does not take me long to bond with my human. I am a good size girl weighing in at 72 pounds. More to love. I enjoy being active, running and playing with other dogs. My look may be intimidating but I am a load of muscley love. I am a strong girl so I will need a parent who has some strength.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Olive, a Hixson Pointer/Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pointer/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Hixson, or seeking a Pointer/Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Hixson.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hixson already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hixson breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pointer/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Pointer/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hixson paves the way for another one to be saved.
