Meet Alpine... His mama is a Jack Russell Terrier / Corgi mix. It appears that he may be a bit of heeler, and maybe some lab, too. Alpine is approx 35-40lbs and is just a bit over 2yrs old. He's a bit of a shy boy so he take a little while to warm up to new people. After a 10-15min introductory period, he becomes an affectionate, attentive boy that loves kids over 12yrs old. He's very active and must be in a calm, yet athletically active home. He loves other dogs and shares his treats and toys very nicely. He must have a fenced backyard and another like-size, balanced dog with which to run, wrestle and learn confidence from. He is fully crate trained so can be left home for up to 6hr intervals.

About K9 Rescue & Rehabilitation

About Our Rescue Group...

K9 R&R rescues 'Green Mile' dogs from shelters and other various facilities across the nation, but focusing primarily on those throughout the west coast. In addition, we help re-home family pets of owners who can no longer care for them. K9 R&R assesses and works with every dog prior to adopting them out and continues to provide support to adopters for the entire life of the dog. K9 Rescue & Rehab was founded with the desire to provide a more thorough, inclusive, supportive approach to dog rescue and re-homing. When adopting a K9 R&R dog, you are not only adding a new family member, but are becoming part of an extended family that is always there to support you in hard times and celebrate with you in joyful ones.

Our Adoption Process...

Interested adopters should email to request an application. Once complete, the application can be returned via email and quickly reviewed. If approved, we then invite potential adopters to visit with one or more of the dogs that interest them. If the meet and greet goes well, we encourage a week long "trial adoption" to ensure a good match. During that week we communicate often and are available for support and guidance, via phone or email, 24/7.

K9 R&R adopt fees range from $235 - $450 and include all vetting and microchip. We also provide ongoing training tips/help as needed, for the life of the dogs.

K9 R&R is a non-profit, volunteer based organization.
