My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

IDGSR WELCOMES CHAI INTO THE SAFETY OF THE RESCUE!!!!

Chai's name mean 'LIFE' OR 'ALIVE' in Hebrew, Yes, Chai made it out of the high kill shelter she was not going to leave. IDGSR in conjunction with another rescue and some volunteers did all we could to save Chai. Chai had gotten a rap sheet thru no fault of her own. Falsely accused of being 'viscious' because someone was trying to take her 3 week old puppies from her, she did what any mother would do to ---protect her babies.

Chai was taken to the shelter with her babies and the shelter staff decided to euthanize the whole family. A rescue group stepped up immediately to pull the pups that had to be bottle fed or otherwise 5 lives were going to be lost. We can't imagine how upset and freaking out that Chai did, so now humans did it to her again and succeeded this time in taking those pups. Heartbroken and at a loss and depressed, she was slated to be destroyed, everything ripped away from her. But behind the scenes, we were all fighting for Chai, multiple emails pleading with the powers to be for Chai's life.

We told them, no, we certainly do not want to rescue a aggressive dog, none of us want to get bit or hurt, but no one with a lick of common sense can fault a mother for doing what instinctively comes to them. Days turn into weeks and we are hoping for light at the end of the tunnel, Chai gets the green light finally to come to rescue.

Chai is a Great dog, she has been with many other dogs and does well, she is great with people, and she is loving and sweet, rides well in the car. She is NOT cat friendly. Has a great temperament and disposition. Spayed now and ready to be adopted. If you would like to make Chai a member of your family, please apply with this rescue by copying and pasting the link below.
