DeeDee's Story...
Name: Dee Dee
Color: Tan
Breed: Yorkshire Terrier Mix
Gender: Female
Age: 2 Years
Dee Dee is a sweet, bashful girl looking for a lap to call home.
Big fan of: Dee Dee is super sweet once she warms up to you and realizes you are her friend; she enjoys curling up in your lap and being loved on.
Dream Home: Dee Dee would do best in an adult only home as she can be easily overwhelmed by loud and fast movements. Her new family will need to be experienced with small, timid dogs and know how to best approach and handle them. It is best that you sit down next to Dee Dee and encourage her into your lap as towering over her to pick her up or pet her is very scary to dogs as small as she is. It is also best that her new family not try to hug on her or kiss her face as this can also be seen as a frightening and threatening behavior to dogs. Dee Dee came in with her buddy Dexter and while she would like to go home with him, this will not be required. She would enjoy a confident, mellow male canine in her new home and could also likely live with confident cats who won't let her chase after her

Why Adoption is a Great Option

DeeDee, a Bellingham Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier breeders who help with Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
