My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

In addition to the following profile for this dog, please first read the Adoption Information at http://www.shihtzurescuemn.org/adopt.html to understand the process, requirements and timeline for adoption. An adoption application can also be found in the Adoption Info section. If, after reading that information, you have any questions, please submit your question via e-mail and it will be answered. Please do not request a phone call. A personal phone call will only be made when an adoption application has been submitted and the foster parent wishes to consider the application. Thank you!

Here is spunky little Rosco. He is a 7 year old, oh-so-soft bundle of joy to have in your home. He greets all dogs, big or small, and people with enthusiasm. Rosco is a friendly guy, but he would benefit from some further training or dog obedience classes to curb his enthusiasm. Rosco came into rescue with serious skin allergies and was taken immediately to a veterinary dermatologist. He was prescribed medications for his skin, which have greatly improved his condition. He will most likely need them the rest of his life. This is a common condition, inexpensive and easy to treat, but his adopters will need to provide the care he needs with their veterinarian for the rest of his life. Rosco is otherwise healthy and he is a happy-go-lucky guy. Rosco would be a wonderful blessing to any home. He is house trained, relishes his meals and treats, and walks well on a leash. He sleeps at the end of his foster mom’s bed while his doggie foster sister sleeps with his foster mom. In the morning after his foster mom gets out of bed, he takes her place and rolls around on her pillow.

Rosco is neutered, current on vaccinations, and is microchipped. His adoption fee is $220.00 plus $16.01 MN sales tax. His foster mom would prefer to adopt Rosco within 75 miles of Bloomington, MN. His adopters are also encouraged to attend the Shih Tzu Rescue Reunion held each year in June.

To meet Rosco and other dogs available for adoption from Shih Tzu Rescue of Minnesota, please visit with us from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Minnetonka Petco near Ridgedale the last Saturday of every month.
