When Winnie & Ryder's family had to move, they packed up their whole house with all of their belongings and drove away, leaving Winnie & Ryder hidden away in the backyard, no food, no water. No one knows exactly how long they were there, but thank goodness someone discovered them -- emaciated -- and brought them to the safety of a rescue group where they have been checked out by a wonderful vet, fattened up and now it's all just a great adventure to Winnie & Ryder! They made themselves right at home at their foster like they've always been there. They are definitely bonded and get upset when they don’t know where the other one is. They are always together, inside and out. They are both very loving, very calm and just love to be petted. They will play some with toys and they get along very well with the other dogs and puppy at their foster home (we don't know about cats). They eat together and don’t have a problem eating out of the others bowl, but they don’t particularly care for the puppy eating out of their bowls . . and who can blame them?! They are also very obedient but cower, which is not surprisingly considering where and how they were found. But Winnie & Ryder are one of the sweetest love stories we've ever seen -- and the best of friends -- so we are looking for a home with hearts big enough to fit both of these sweet babies and help heal their hearts completely. Winnie is about 2 years old and Ryder is about 4 years old. They each weigh about 13 pounds and they are very healthy.
