Zack's Story...
Zack
Male
Karelian Bear Dog/Border Collie Mix
DOB: 3/12/13
Weight: 43 Pounds

Zack is fun loving, and like a big teddy bear. He is a high energy dog that comes from the powerful breed, the Karelian Bear Dog, mixed with the gentleness of the Border Collie.

Zack will be very loyal to his family, brave, and independent with a good sense of humor. Because he is so young, Zack will benefit from basic training and an owner who will display good leadership. He will get along with other dogs that are well socialized, but probably will not be so good around cats. His family will need to provide the necessary exercise Zack will require each day. A big yard and plenty of place to run and play along with daily walks will be the best for Zack.

Zack is house-trained with a doggie door. He probably would do best in a family with older children as he might be a little too much for very young children.

Zack is waiting for that owner that would love a wonderful, loyal dog like Zack.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zack, a Mountain Center Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Mountain Center, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Mountain Center.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mountain Center already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mountain Center breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mountain Center paves the way for another one to be saved.
