Maive is wishing for a holiday miracle — her forever home! Her family has just sold their house, plus her owner took a fall and broke an ankle, so she cannot care for Maive at all. Maive is staying with a friend while a home can be found. Please consider helping Maive. Her story is below:

Gentle Maive is a 7-year old, Black Lab mix. Maive’s family is moving to housing that does not allow dogs, so she is in need of a forever home. Maive loves kids and is so happy spending time with her owner’s granddaughter — she sleeps right on her when she visits! Maive gets along with other dogs, and she absolutely LOVES car rides. In the car, Maive is very content to stay in the back seat and watch the world go by. Maive loves to go for walks but is currently spending most of her time in the yard by herself. She is overweight from lack of exercise, but daily walks will help this pretty girl regain her figure in no time!Her dislikes are thunderstorms and loud noises, but she is not destructive, she just wants to be near you.

Maive did not receive much individual attention throughout her life, so she does not seem to expect much from people — but she lights up with a tail wag and looks proud when you tell her she’s a good girl! Maive is a very gentle, quiet and friendly dog who would love a home where her people like having her nearby and taking her on the walks and car rides she so loves.

Maive is spayed, is up-to-date on her vaccinations, and does not require any medications. She is in eastern Massachusetts and she would love to meet you.
