My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is Jax (HWTH#13644C). He is an American Bulldog mix, DOB: 9/13/13. Jax weighs approximately 50 pounds and stands 23 inches at the shoulders. This handsome boy has had some tough breaks in his short life. Jax was born in a drain culvert, was adopted and returned for not responding to efforts to socialize him, was fostered and taught being loved is good and then adopted again and got away, lived in the hills of Santa Clarita for two months and was found by a dog lover and returned to Halfway To Home, all before he was one year old. Jax is a loving boy with shyness issues and will need a special owner who will make sure he has a secure yard (front and back), is well loved and will take the time to socialize him and exercise him. He will also benefit from positive basic obedience training to help with the bonding process. Once Jax has bonded with his new owner, he will be a loyal canine companion. He is crate trained.
