MEET BOZWELL
BOZWELL (or BOZZIE as he called around the rescue) is a sweet, 3.5 year old, 8 lb short hair doxie and a redhead to boot. BOZZIE is a young boy full of love and affection and adores giving kisses. He has had a rough start to his life and came to Oregon Dachshund Rescue, Inc. dehydrated, malnourished and needing all of his veterinary needs met. He is currently receiving fluids to help him gain weight, had his nails trimmed and got a medicated bath when he came to our care. He's been passing kisses out right, left and center since he got here. BOZZIE is adorable and only wants to give love and be loved. If you think you are the family that could love BOZWELL and let him love you for forever, please let us know. He'll be ready soon.
OUR CRITERIA (aka The Fine Print):
Based on 30 years of experience with rescue doxies, we have pretty strict criteria. Do you work from home/stay at home/work part time? Have a securely fenced yard? We do not place same gender dogs in a home unless they were raised together, and children need to be 10 or older (some exceptions IF the dog is a puppy or the child has been raised with a doxie). We prefer non smokers and a home with no other small animals (ferrets, hamsters, etc) Cats are on a case by case basis depending on the dog. Remember, these are rescues; many were surrendered because of these issues.
WHAT YOU GET IN RETURN WITH YOUR LITTLE RESCUE:
All our dogs are fully vetted, including spay/neuter, rabies, DHPP, Bordetella, Pyrantyl, nails trimmed, and dental when needed. They'll come with a basket of goodies, food, toys and a custom made harness. The adoption fee is $395, sorry no exceptions, as this covers the cost to rescue them, vet them and take care of them while in our rescue. It also helps towards the care of other doxies that come with huge vet or dental bills or need extensive behavioral training.
