Riley came to ESRA after her owners divorced. However, this girl has a resilient attitude, and she is ready to begin the search for a new, loving home. What a beauty--just look at those cute eyebrows!
From Riley's foster mom: Don't let Riley's age fool you. When I took her out for a leisurely stroll, Riley broke into a jog! She has an adorable little bounce when she starts off, and she clearly loves to run. When we were first on leash, I was jogging with her to keep up and let her burn off energy. Riley has a great gait to accompany a jogger or runner, and she was willing to go longer than I was! She would love to continue a daily exercise regimen.
Riley currently lives with two other Springers, and she is confident but not pushy. She does best with submissive dogs, and she will hold back to stay out of confrontation. What Riley likes best is attention from people. She has learned that she is allowed on the couches here, and she enjoys sitting right next to me at night, snuggling in for a good rub and attention.
Riley will do best in a home where dogs are the same size she is, cats are dog savvy, and children are older, because she may knock over a small child in her exuberance. Riley completed an obedience class in the past, and she knows some basic commands. She also enjoys riding in the car and is a well-behaved passenger.
