Abby is a TV star! Click here to see the video of her recent appearance on the Twin Cities Live program.

Meet the lovely Abby. Attentive, snuggly, and loyal are the words that best describe this dark beauty. She has the high energy of a typical Springer and loves to leap and run around the yard, usually with a toy or a bone in her mouth.

This happy girl is crate trained and will go into her crate when she is asked to do so. She sleeps in her crate, but she would much rather sleep with her people! Whenever she gets the chance, she jumps onto the bed to snuggle.

Abby is quite attentive, and she wants to please. She knows the commands Sit, Stay, and Come. She looks to her humans for guidance and listens well.

Abby is unsure of new people and new situations, and she sometimes barks at new faces. She needs time to become comfortable, but she does warm up eventually. Abby is also scared of loud noises. Because of her nervous tendencies with new people or dogs in her territory, we want to place her in a home with a fenced yard.

Though she lives in a foster home with other dogs, Abby's ideal Forever Home would make her the star in the house. She gets nervous when other dogs invade her space or try to take the attention of her people. She will also guard things that she believes are hers, like rawhides or toys, from other dogs.

In addition to being the star of the house, Abby would love to have a family whose members are home to spend time with her. She is an amazing Springer who loves life and can't wait to find a Forever Home of her own.

Please note that an approved adoption application is the first step in a more thorough interview process that is designed to match each dog to exactly the right family, and that the final decision rests with the dog's case manager.

Please read the Adoption FAQ and get an Adoption Application approved before inquiring about Abby.
