Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi there, I’m Athena, a 3 ½ month old, 30 pound smooth coated Afghan Hound girl. My foster mom says that I’m an outgoing puppy with an adorable personality. She describes me as warm and affectionate, huggable, snugly, very active, and playful. I can be vocal and I also have some puppy mouthiness that we are working on. I enjoy playing with other dogs, but can be a little overzealous for small dogs. Sitting outside in the yard and observing and bouncing around playing are on the top of my fun list. Foster mom says that I’m well on my way to being potty trained, foster mom also says I do well in my kennel, and I’m also working on my leash walking skills.
Athena will not be placed in homes with small dogs or cats, she will also require a fenced yard - six foot fence preferable.
Althena is up to date on all shots, on heart worm preventative, spayed, microchipped, and de-wormed. Athena’s adoption fee is $350.00. WE DO NOT ACCEPT PERSONAL CHECKS. Out of state adopters are responsible for arranging transport, WE DO NOT SHIP DOGS. For events calendar and adoption application please go to our website at aaprescue.org.
