Hobbit's Story...
Hobbit is a very sweet schnauzer mix, he is approx 2-3 yrs old and 26 lbs. He was just a stray found living under old cars at the end of a dead end street. Life had not been kind to this darling dog. Someone or something, per the eye vet, had poked a hole in one of his eyes. He has no sight in that eye, luckily the other one is fine and he can see perfectly. It doesn’t seem to bother him and he just goes with the flow. He was treated for low positive for heart worms and has also been started on a monthly preventative.

This is just one of the nicest dogs you will ever meet. Quiet and well behaved, he knows how to sit, he gets along with the other rescues, loves to hang out in his dog bed with his buddies, seems to be quite well house and leash trained. He is just a true joy to have around - he is a really nice boy with a really sweet disposition...a great companion.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hobbit, a Woonsocket Schnauzer (Standard) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Schnauzer (Standard) for sale in Woonsocket, or seeking a Schnauzer (Standard) dog from a breeder in Woonsocket.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Woonsocket already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Woonsocket breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Schnauzer (Standard) breeders who help with Schnauzer (Standard) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Woonsocket paves the way for another one to be saved.
