Theodore's Story...
Theodore was of the the Kansas Seven that we pulled from a kill shelter in western Kansas. He was turned into the shelter when his previous owners were caught trying to hide him from the landlord - never a good idea. Theodore was very frightened in the shelter but has relaxed now that he is in a home. He's such a sweetie. Theo loves attention and gets along just fine with the other dogs in his foster home. We think that Theodore is only one year old, he weighs 9 pounds. He is neutered, up to date on all shots, heartworm negative, on heartworm/flea preventative, is microchipped and has had a dental procedure to remove retained baby teeth. Theo's adoption fee is $200 with all vet work done.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Theodore, a House Springs Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in House Springs, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in House Springs.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in House Springs already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a House Springs breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in House Springs paves the way for another one to be saved.
