My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi I'm Diesel. I'm a very sweet and gentle Beagle mix of 3-4 years old. I am a fast learner and getting the ropes around here quick. I want to be a good boy and follow all the rules. Humans have hurt me in the past and it's taking some time to trust the hands here are not going to hurt me. I still flinch sometimes though. I am also very quiet. I didn't use my voice for days after I arrived. Now I will bark if someone comes to the door but that's about it.

I love to snuggle up on the couch and I give tons of kisses to everyone who will let me. Or even better are those tummy rubs! I'm crate trained, potty trained, and I know my basic commands. I'm learning some new tricks too. I have not chewed anything I'm not supposed to and I do not dig in the trash. I do need to keep practicing with not pulling so hard on the leash.

I get along great with my Beagle foster brother. We're ok sharing (and stealing) each others chew horns and treats. I am a bit of a couch potato but I prefer to be wherever the human action is in the house. So beware - I'll be watching from close range!

I love getting attention from my 11 year old human foster bother and I am curious about my foster family's 2 year old granddaughter that comes to visit but I prefer to watch her craziness snuggled up next to foster dad. Two year old humans are loud and a little scary. Loud noises are frightening for me.

Well, I could go on and on about how wonderful I am, but I don't want to sound like I'm bragging. You'll just have to meet me for yourself!
