Abby's Story...
So this sweet face belongs to Abby! Abby and her sister (litter mates) Ann came in together. They are 6 years old and beautiful richly colored tabbies. Just check out Abby's spots! They lived together since they were kittens in a home however the family had to give them up when a family member was allergic. Considering that they came from a home straight into a cat room at a shelter, they are both doing GREAT! Abby was a little hesitant of the other cats when she arrived but now she is flourishing in the cat room. She is a very loving girl that loves to be touched and petted. You can witness this in her video. They are both lap cats however do not like being picked up and held. Abby is such a wonderful outgoing affectionate girl and we hope she will be back in a home again very soon.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Abby, a Marseilles Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Marseilles, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Marseilles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marseilles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marseilles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marseilles paves the way for another one to be saved.
