Fred's Story...
Stray momma dog Lucy, pictured below, gave birth to the “I Love Lucy” gang. Ethel, Fred, Ricky, and Desilu are four pups looking for their forever homes. They are American Staffordshire Terrier mixes, and will be very people-oriented. As the puppies mature, they will have excellent potential as exercise partners, and may do well in dog sports such as obedience and agility. The pups will be active, confident dogs that will be at their best with early socialization and training. Don’t be surprised if you think one of them is trying to “talk” to you, as they may be vocal and make silly sounds in attempts to communicate with you!

If you are looking for a puppy that is intelligent and a great companion, while still having a slightly goofy friendliness, you should meet Fred. You’ll never be lonely, and you’ll always be entertained!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Fred, a Houston American Staffordshire Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Houston, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier puppy from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
