My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

"I just can't Believe that nobody went looking for this dog!" is something that every once in a while we find ourselves saying about a new foster dog.
Ice is certainly a dog that falls into that category. He was a stray and was probably on the loose for a while. Nothing seems to bother Ice and he takes change, new situations, noises all in stride.

Ice is 2-3 years old, up to date on vaccinations and has been neutered. He is Heartworm and Lyme negative and is on Heartworm and flea/tick prevention.

Contrary to his name, Ice is outgoing and social with new people and plays well with other dogs, both male and female. Ice will chase cats and small animals such as ducks. He walks past the horses in his foster home without barking and is quite mannerly when near them (on leash of course).

Ice is a warm and cuddly boy who would like to go for rides in the car and accompany his new people. He is a medium energy level who would like a half hour walk 2-3 times a day along with play with another dog or chasing a tennis ball for a few minutes.

He will be the star of any obedience class with his focus and trainability. He may like agility or Therapy Dog classes too.

He is house trained, walks well on leash and already knows sit, down and roll over. He was a stellar patient when he went to the Veterinarian for his initial CT check-up even lying still on his side when his nails were clipped. Ice likes to go into his crate with the door open and we are working on his crate training.

Since we do not know if he has lived in a home with small children before, he will be placed in an adult home. If you are interested in this beautiful Blue eyed, Blue Merle boy please complete an application. Ice's adoption fee is $450.00. His medical records are also given to the adopter.
