My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

LEO
6 year old Male Brown Spotted Bengal

COURTESY POST
Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is helping facilitate the adoption of this cat. We take no responsibility for his health and medical records. It is the responsibility of the owner and adopter to discuss this.

Have you ever wanted an amazingly handsome Bengal? Leo will come to you when you call him and will give you a gentle headbutt. He is very loving and likes attention, and he loves kisses from his young foster mom. He sleeps with her at night and is always around her when she is at home. When she works on her homework, he likes to crawl into her lap (probably to make sure she gets all her work done).

Leo should be an only cat since he only gets along with some cats, but does not care for other Bengals. Who needs the competition when one is so striking and loving anyway? He does have a little girlfriend, Lil Gracie, with whom he is compatible (one of the pictures shows both of them cuddled together), but other than Gracie, we believe he would thrive as a single boy in a loving environment with humans that have experience with Bengals.

The Bengal breed is not for everyone. While you can train a Bengal to have "good manners," they are active, inquisitive cats that love to be up high. If you don't like a cat to leave the floor, a Bengal is probably not the right cat for you. Bengals are busy by nature. They are very affectionate and can be a “lap cat” whenever THEY want to be, but in general their idea of fun is playing, chasing, climbing and investigating. When a Bengal is in full play mode, it's rather like trying to hold on to running water! They'll often save the cuddle time for when they want to sleep. Many Bengals enjoy water and may join you in brushing your teeth or taking a shower. Some Bengals are vocal while others are more quiet and selective about using their voice.

Bengals will also, in general, ALWAYS want to be where you are. After all, that's where the action is! And Bengals are all about "The Action". When given the choice of a static toy, and one that does wild, unpredictable things, Bengals will always choose the "wild" one!
This beautiful, affectionate boy does have special needs because he will need a steroid vaccine every month. Other than that, he is healthy, active and very loving. He will make someone a wonderful companion.

If you would like more information on Leo, please contact Maria at dashenka2011@gmail.com or send an Adoption Application.
Please note that Leo is not in a Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue foster home but residing with his caretaker in Merced, CA. His caretaker is willing to drive half-way within Northern California to meet the adopter on the day of the adoption.
